Scotland international Scott McTominay was impressed by the support of Napoli fans at the Capodichino Airport on Friday when the team left for Bergamo for a big match against Atalanta: ‘Incredible.’
Serie A leaders Napoli will visit third-placed Atalanta at the Gewiss Stadium this evening, but for security reasons, fans from the Campania region have been banned from buying tickets.
The away end at the Gewiss Stadium will still be sold out, but only with fans who don’t have a Campania postcode.
On Friday, when the team took off from Capodichino Airport, over 3,500 Napoli fans arrived to show their support, and McTominay was impressed by the atmosphere.
The Scottish midfielder took a video of the fans from the team bus and shared it as an Instagram story, writing ‘Incredible’ in Italian and adding a blue heart emoji.
