Davide Frattesi has been pushing for a move away from Inter in recent weeks, but the latest reports suggest he is bound to remain at the club at least until the closing days of the January transfer window.
The Italy international has been recently linked with potential moves to former club Roma or Napoli, but with injuries limiting the option at Simone Inzaghiโs disposal, the Nerazzurri are unwilling to sell the 25-year-old at what they consider a delicate time of the season.
Frattesi wonโt move away from Inter until late January
With two crucial Champions fixtures looming over, La Gazzetta dello Sport explains that Inter donโt want to deplete their squad by letting one of their most-used substitutes move elsewhere.
As a result, any team that wants to sign Frattesi will be forced to wait until the Nerazzurri complete the upcoming cycle of matches, which also includes European fixtures against Sparta Prague and Monaco, postponing all potential transfer negotiations for the midfielder to late January.
The former Sassuolo midfielder is once again set to start from the bench as Inter host Empoli on Sunday night, with Asllani and Zielinski expected to replace Calhanoglu and Mkhitaryan.
