Napoli have officially announced the extension of defender Mathías Olivera’s contract until 2030.
The Uruguay international has accumulated 90 appearances for the club since joining the Stadio Diego Maradona in 2022, scoring three goals and providing six assists.
The 27-year-old quickly cemented himself as a starter after joining the Partenopei, playing a key role in their title-winning campaign under Luciano Spalletti.

Though he only made a second-half cameo against Inter—his first appearance after a month out with injury—manager Antonio Conte has consistently relied on him at left-back this season, with Olivera racking up 21 Serie A appearances so far.
Napoli announce Olivera contract extension
Napoli announced Olivera’s contract renewal on Tuesday via an official statement on their website.
“SSC Napoli announce that they have extended the contract of player Mathías Olivera until June 30, 2030,” it reads.
“He made his debut in the Azzurri shirt on August 15, 2022, during a 5-2 away victory at the Bentegodi against Hellas Verona.”
The left back spent three seasons at La Liga side Getafe before signing for Napoli and has also been consistently called up for Uruguay over the last three years, earning 26 caps for La Celeste.
