Simone Inzaghi believes that Feyenoord did the right thing to postpone their upcoming Eredivisie fixture this fine settimana to focus on their two-legged Coppa Campioni tie with Inter, even though it gives the Dutch side a slight advantage over the Nerazzurri.
Inter will play against Feyenoord at De Kuip on Wednesday evening in the first of their two-legged Coppa Campioni round of 16 tie. The teams will then meet again in San Siro next Tuesday for the decider.
Feyenoord had been due to play against Groningen in the Eredivisie on the Saturday between their two matches against Inter, but requested a postponement, which has since been granted, which means they will have almost a full week to prepare for their second leg against Inter.
The Nerazzurri, meanwhile, will play against Monza in Serie A on Saturday before facing Feyenoord again three days later.
Inzaghi: Feyenoord ‘correct’ to postpone league fixture to focus on Inter

Even though Feyenoord have an advantage in terms of preparation time, Inzaghi believes his opponents did the right thing.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference on Tuesday evening, Inzaghi said: ““They were able to postpone the game and I think they were correct to do it. A Coppa Campioni round of 16 match is important, and it’s right that Feyenoord did this.”
