Thiago Mottaās dismissal at Juventus puts director Cristiano Giuntoli even more under pressure, as the ex-Napoli director was responsible for choosing the coach and investing over ā¬200m in new signings that mostly failed to justify their price tags.
The work of Giuntoliās work at Juventus is being questioned by fans and Italian media following Thiago Mottaās sacking.
Giuntoli hired Motta last summer, hoping to start a new winning project based on an exciting playing style. However, disappointing results and Mottaās poor relationship with part of the dressing room led to his dismissal on Sunday, but this doesnāt mean the ex-coach was the only one responsible for Juventusā depressing campaign.
Giuntoli and Motta also made big transfer decisions, parting ways with Wojciech SzczÄsny and Federico Chiesa in the summer and Nicolò Fagioli and Danilo in the winter transfer window.

Dean Huijsen is another player Juventus let go in the summer for barely ā¬15m to balance the books, but the Spain international is shining at Bournemouth and with his national team, while Juventus signed Lloyd Kelly for a similar fee in January to replace the injured Gleison Bremer.
On the other hand, Teun Koopmeiners and Nico Gonzalez are struggling to justify their price tags at the Allianz Stadium.
Giuntoliās work has been criticised by Italian media in recent days, and ex-Juventus winger Massimo Mauro noted that the director has had too much power at the club.
Giuntoli āfinds himself scrambling for solutions after a series of bad decisions that ultimately contributed to a failure on all fronts,ā Gazzetta wrote on Tuesday.
āTherefore, the former Napoli director is co-responsible for the Juventus crisis.ā
