A truly spectacular Riccardo Orsolini volley proved enough for Bologna to maintain fourth place and conquer Venezia.
The Rossoblu surged into fourth place before the break for international duty, but missed Santiago Castro, Lorenzo De Silvestri and Charalampos Lykogiannis. The Lagunari had Hans Nicolussi Caviglia suspended after holding Napoli to a draw, while Mirko Maric, Marin Sverko, Filip Stankovic and Michael Svoboda were injured.
See how it all unfolded on the Liveblog.
Thiijs Dallinga prodded wide from a promising position, but Alessio Zerbin forced the first real save from Lukasz Skorupski on the half-hour mark.

Jay Idzes nodded inches wide, but the deadlock was broken in spectacular fashion straight after the restart.
A Nicolรฒ Cambiaghi cross found Orsolini for a stunning left-footed volley into the far top corner from 10 yards out, off the inside of the boot.
Mikael Ellertsson stung Lukasz Skorupskiโs gloves, while Gianluca Busioโs angled drive shaved a coat of paint off the far post after the smart John Yeboah lay-off.
Skorupski needed a sensational reaction save to deny Yeboah one-on-one, standing tall to be ready for the dinked finish.
Venezia 0-1 Bologna
Orsolini 49 (B)
