Empoli host Bologna in the first leg of the Coppa Italia at the Stadio Castellani on Tuesday evening, with a final and potential silverware up for grabs against either Milan or Inter at the end of the 2024-25 season. Here are the probable line-ups for tonight’s cup clash.
The teams will meet again for the second leg at the end of the month, scheduled for April 24.
Both sides are expected to make a handful of changes following the fine settimana’s Serie A action; Empoli holding out for a 1-1 draw away against Como, Bologna beating Venezia 1-0 to keep hold of fourth place and a Coppa Campioni spot.

The Napoli-bound Luca Marianucci is expected to start in defence for Empoli and could be the only defender to keep his place in the line-up after the draw against Como.
Vincenzo Italiano is expected to shuffle his midfield and attack around, and could introduce Tommaso Pobega in midfield and Benja Dominguez in attack.
Kick-off is due at 20.00 GMT.
