Inter were held to a 2-2 draw by Lazio at the end of an incredibly eventful match, with Pedro twice cancelling out goals from Yan Bisseck and Denzel Dumfries.
Napoliโs simultaneous goalless draw at Parma means Simone Inzaghiโs men missed the possibilitร to overtake them at the top of Serie A. The one-point gap remains unchanged, leaving everything to be decided in the final round.
The Nerazzurri went into the night knowing that any news from their game could psychologically impact the Partenopeiโs away trip to the Stadio Tardini, and vice versa.
See how it unfolded on the Liveblog.
While they oozed a sense of electricity, spurred on by a Stadio Meazza crowd with no away tifosi present, Interโs opening stages were marked by frenzy and a lack of precision in the final third.
Yan Bisseck appealed for a penalty shortly after the 20-minute mark when his surge into the box from the right was halted by what he believed to be a foul from Nicolรฒ Rovella. However, there was no clear evidence of contact, and VAR did not intervene.

A swift team move saw Marcus Thuram break free on the right and whip in a cross that flew across the entire box to the opposite side, where Federico Dimarcoโs first-time strike was well parried by Christos Mandas.
With Lazio gradually dropping deeper, the hosts asserted their presence in the opposition half but continued to struggle in creating clear chancesโultimately risking a goal themselves five minutes before the break, with two dangerous moments in quick succession.
Gustav Isaksen was the threat on both occasions: first, he attempted a placed shot that flashed just wide of the far post, then forced a save from Yann Sommer after being played through at the end of a quick counterattack.
However, Inter eventually found the breakthrough just seconds before half-time, once again from a set piece. Dimarcoโs volley from a Hakan Calhanoglu corner was initially blocked by Alessio Romagnoli, but Bisseck was quickest to react, controlling the rebound and firing into the roof of the net to give his side the lead.

Probably aware of their passive first-half display, the Biancocelesti tried to start the second half on the front foot, noticeably pushing their line higher in an attempt to press Simone Inzaghiโs men and disrupt their build-up.
Pedro and Joaquin Correa were the first substitutes to enter the fray, replacing Gustav Isaksen and Mehdi Taremi, respectively.
A low cross from Nuno Tavares sent a scare through the Nerazzurri defence but drifted untouched across the entire box.
Inter began to dangerously slow the tempo, as if intent on preserving a narrow lead โ but Lazio quickly reminded them of the risks involved in such an approach, going inches from an equaliser when Boulaye Dia failed to hit the target with Sommer rushing out to close him down.
That warning proved to be just a prelude to a threat the hosts couldnโt survive. Pedro struck at the end of a chaotic sequence, as Adam Maruลกiฤโs deflected shot fell to Matรญas Vecino, who then set up the Spaniard. The linesman initially raised his flag, but a VAR review confirmed the goal stood.
Yet, as on countless other occasions, it was in the most difficult moment of the match that Inter displayed all their immense character, once again turning to their most fearsome weapon. A pinpoint Calhanoglu free kick from the right saw Denzel Dumfries rise above everyone to head the ball past Mandas at the near post.
The turning points were far from over, though, as a VAR check penalised Bisseck for an elbow touch, and a composed Pedro converted the resulting penalty with a precise strike to bring Lazio level once more.
The final stages had a bit of everything for the Nerazzurri โ from a glaring miss by Marko Arnautoviฤ to a goal disallowed for offside.
Inter 2-2 Lazio
Bisseck 46 (I), Pedro 74 (L), Dumfries 79 (I), Pedro 89 (L)
