Negotiations between Italy international Gianluigi Donnarumma and Paris Saint-Germain on a new contract have hit a brick wall, according to reports in France.
The goalkeeper arrived as a free agent after leaving Milan in the summer of 2021 and could now end up in a similar situation in Paris.
His current deal only runs to June 2026 and talks over an extension seem to have broken down completely.
Donnarumma does not want reduced salary

Le Parisien report this evening that although Donnarumma was the first player to be proposed a new contract, he is the latest to actually agree to the terms.
The problem is that because he joined as a free agent from Milan, it allowed PSG to offer him a massive salary plus signing on fee.
Now that he is a regular in their squad, the club is no longer prepared to keep up that wage of €10-12m gross per season.

After winning the Coppa Campioni as part of the Treble, along with Ligue 1 and the Coupe de France, PSG are working on reducing the wage bill.
Le Parisien reports that Paris Saint-Germain have set a deadline for Donnarumma to either accept the new deal or accept a transfer this summer, rather than wait until he could leave as a free agent all over again.
