Former Napoli player Ruud Krol has urged both Noa Lang and Darwin Nuñez to join the club this summer, as he praised the side’s ‘ambitious’ transfer plans.
Both Nuñez and Lang have been strongly linked with a move to Antonio Conte’s club – as the Neapolitan side look to expand on their Scudetto success from the season just finished.

Lang ‘knows how to win’
Noa Lang is considered to be one of the best players in Eredivisie, the 26-year-old Dutch winger impressing greatly for PSV. Marseille were interested but it appears that
Speaking in the interview with the Gazzetta dello Sport, via Calcionews24, Krol said that his compatriot “is a very strong player who is ideal for Napoli and their style of play. A true talent who now has the possibilità to truly explode because similar things have already happened here with some of his teammates.
“The league title win with PSV also bears his signature, as it should – he contributed many goals and assists, playing a decisive role. Lang also knows how to win – he did it by coming from behind, against my Ajax, in a season finale that looked over but instead culminated in an extraordinary comeback.”
Krol – I want to see Nuñez and Lukaku play together
Then, when questioned about Darwin Nuñez, Krol said that “there’s clearly a desire to build a truly strong squad – capable of defending the league title and maybe even going for a fifth. It’s still June and the transfer window hasn’t really begun – but we’re going for players of immense quality, which shows ambition.

“De Bruyne is already here and Lang, Nuñez and Beukema are key targets. Just imagine a strike partnership of Lukaku and Nuñez, I’m amazed at the thought of seeing them play together. It would be a real spectacle.”
Nuñez scored five goals in 30 Premier League appearances this season as things look to have not entirely worked out for the Uruguayan in Merseyside.
The forward signed for the Premier League side from Benfica in 2022 for a reported fee of €75 million plus an additional €25 million in add-ons. Now the English side are looking to cut some of their losses and move on the forward, as they seek reinforcements of their own this summer.
