Juventus have not given up on signing Napoli-owned Victor Osimhen, as Sky Sport Italia report they contacted his entourage in the last 48 hours to intensify talks.

It is no secret that the Bianconeri had the Nigerian on their wish-list for the attack next season, along with free agent Jonathan David.

According to Sky Sport Italia, those negotiations have intensified over the fine settimana.

Napoli would try to block Osimhen transfer to Juventus

Any move would be extremely difficult, as the €75m release clause is only valid for clubs outside of Italy, precisely because Napoli are wary of Juve poaching their stars after spending €100m for Gonzalo Higuain a few years back.

If they were to sell to a direct Scudetto rival, then Napoli would ask for €80m.

However, as Osimhen is returning to pre-season training from his Galatasaray loan and seems to be quite low on the list of priorities for other clubs, such as Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United.

Al-Hilal had been prepared to pay the full €75m fee and give him an eye-watering salary of circa €30m per season, but he turned it down to continue his career in Europe.
