Napoli are continuing to whittle down their squad, as it is reported Jesper Lindstrom will join Wolfsburg on loan with an option to buy for a total €17.5m plus add-ons after his Everton adventure.
The Partenopei have brought in several big new names for this season after securing the Serie A title, so have to get rid of the players who are not part of Antonio Conte’s plans for the future.
Lindstrom had already been excluded last summer, when he was sent out on loan to Everton with a fee of €2m and option to buy for €22.5m, which was never activated.
That proved to be a flop, as he made 29 appearances for the Toffees with only one assist to show for it.
Napoli trying to sell Lindstrom

According to transfer pundit Fabrizio Romano and Tuttomercatoweb, the Dane is moving on again to VfL Wolfsburg.
The Germans are set to pay €1.5m for the one-season loan, retaining an option to make it permanent for a further €16m plus €2m in add-ons.
He has been given the all clear to fly out for a medical test and to sign the contract.
Napoli had paid €30m to sign Lindstrom from Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer of 2023, but he was a flop in Italy with 29 competitive games, not making a single goal contribution.
