Napoli still waiting on final decision for Juanlu and Gutierrez

Napoli are still in advanced talks with Sevilla for Juanlu Sanchez, also targeted by Wolverhampton Wanderers, and Girona midfielder Miguel Gutierrez.

The Partenopei took a little time over the last few days to recap with coach Antonio Conte after the first part of pre-season training was completed.

They discussed what was still needed to bolster the squad and are now ready for the next stage of their transfer strategy.

According to Fabrizio Romano, an agreement is in place with Girona to sign Gutierrez for €18m plus add-ons, with 50 per cent of that fee going to his former club Real Madrid.

However, the problem remains the same, which is that Napoli have not yet decided whether to make the move stick or observe other targets first.

It is a similar situation with Juanlu Sanchez, who has been on their radar for many weeks, with little genuine progress.

Sky Sport Italia pundit Gianluca Di Marzio insists that despite Wolves making an approach, Napoli remain the favourites for his signature at €17m including add-ons.

The right-back turns 22 later this month and is a regular with the Spain Under-21 international squad.
