Parma CEO Federico Cherubini has definitively ruled out the possibility of a move for 54-time Italy international Lorenzo Insigne, who remains available as a free agent after his venture in MLS with Toronto.ย
Cherubini rules out Parma move for Insigne
Insigne has been available as a free agent since July 1, when he and Toronto took the decision to terminate his contract by mutual consent. He had originally been under contract with the Canadian side until the summer of 2026.ย
The former Napoli star has since been linked with moves to several Serie A clubs. Alfredo Pedullร reported earlier this summer that the 34-year-old had received numerous offers, including from teams in Italy and abroad.ย

Football Italia reported that Insigneโs agent had held talks with Lazio, and that Udinese were also among the interested parties, but moves to those two clubs never materialised.ย
Insigne can also chalk Parma off his list of potential next destinations, as Cherubini has confirmed that the Crociati squad is full and that the club are not expecting to make any further moves on the free agent market.ย
โNo,โ Cherubini said when asked if Parma are considering a potential move for the former Napoli fan favourite at a recent press conference.ย
โThe squad is in place, and we have excellent players and many options in attack.โย
