The 2025 summer transfer window will be as busy as ever, and three Serie A stars have already been tipped to change their clubs when negotiations resume in a few months.
Serie A fans must expect an intense and exciting summer transfer window with top sides already considering how to strengthen their squads for 2025-26.
Naturally, however, there will also be players leaving their clubs for financial or sporting reasons, and Football Italia looks at three likely departures in the summer transfer window.
One is undoubtedly Juventus ace Dusan Vlahovic, whose contract expires in June 2026 and seems unwilling to extend it with the Bianconeri. Vlahovicโs salary will rise to โฌ12m in the summer and Juventusโ attempts to spread his wages onto a longer deal have been unsuccessful.
Therefore, the Serbian forward will be put on the market to avoid losing him on a free transfer next year.
Vlahovic joined Juventus from Fiorentina in an โฌ80m deal in 2022, but heโll be available for a drastically lower fee during the summer transfer window.
Three Serie A stars expected to change club this summer

Vlahovic was tipped to fight for the Capocannoniere crown in Serie A this season, but has only netted nine times in league games so far. Leading scorer Mateo Retegui has scored 22 goals this season, andย Pin Up users see the Italian striker as the most likely candidate to win the Capocannoniere award in 2025-26, even if Fiorentina star Moise Kean is not too far away with 16 goals scored this term.
Milanโs Theo Hernandez is another Serie A star expected to leave his club in the summer.
The France defender has offered hot and cold performances at San Siro this term and, just like Vlahovic, heโs unlikely to extend his contract beyond 2026.
Talks between Hernรกndezโs agent and Milan have been ongoing for several months, but poor performances in 2024-25 have convinced Milan to drop the French defender and wait for summer offers before the end of his contract next year.
Romaโs Lorenzo Pellegrini is another player with a contract expiring in June 2026.
Italy International has had a tough time at the Stadio Olimpico this season and has been struggling for playing time because he was down in confidence.
The Giallorossi captain was unfairly accused of having a role in Daniele De Rossiโs sacking in September 2024, but Claudio Ranieri vigorously defended him in recent months.
โIโve had two extraordinary goal-scoring midfielders in my career: Lampard and Pellegrini. Many criticise him, but how many midfielders score as many goals as him? Iโm here to help Roma and Iโve explained my plan to him,โ Ranieri said this past November.
โHe is a quiet and extroverted lad who suffers more than others in this situation. He didnโt push De Rossi out; the fans must know it. Neither Mancini nor Cristante did it. On the contrary, they tried like crazy to make him stay. Fans must know the truth.โ
Pellegrini has only managed three goals and three assists in 31 appearances across all competitions this season and has already been linked with Inter, Napoli and Milan.
