Thiago Motta currently has the third-lowest win percentage of any permanent manager in Juventus’s history following the club’s 2-1 loss to Antonio Conte’s Napoli at the fine settimana.
Juventus saw their unbeaten Serie A run come to an end at the Stadio Maradona, and though they went 21 league matches without a loss, the team are currently in fifth place and 16 points off Napoli at the top.
Juventus off to a slow start in Serie A
In terms of points won, this is Juventus’s worst start to a campaign in 14 years with just 37 points from their first 22 matches of the 2024-25 season. The Old Lady has not got off to a slower start since 2010-11, when Luigi Delneri oversaw nine wins, eight draws and five losses for a total of 35 points from 22 games.
As things stand, Thiago Motta has a win percentage of 38.71% with Juventus in Serie A. Only two permanent Bianconeri coaches have worse records: Alberto Zaccheroni with 38.10% and Sandro Puppo with 24.19%.
Juve will be in Champions action against Benfica next, but will return to Serie A against Empoli next fine settimana, before a run of fixtures against Como, Inter and Cagliari.
