Federico Dimarco is set to miss at least three weeks of action after suffering a muscle injury, leaving both Inter and Italy without a key player for crucial upcoming fixtures.

The wing-back limped off in the second half of Interโ€™s 1-1 draw at Napoli, and on Monday, the club confirmed he โ€˜strained a muscle in his right thigh.โ€™

Dimarco to miss Interโ€™s Scudetto showdown and Italyโ€™s Nations League clashes

While Interโ€™s immediate focus is on their two-legged Champions clash with Feyenoord, the 27-year-old is also set to miss several key fixtures in March for both club and country.

Beyond the European tie, Dimarco is expected to sit out Interโ€™s Scudetto showdown against Atalanta on March 16, a crucial clash in the title race.

Serie A will then pause for the international break, during which Luciano Spallettiโ€™s Italy will face Germany twice in the Nations League quarter-finals.

Dimarco is unlikely to recover in time, depriving the Azzurri of a player who has contributed one goal and four assists in his last six Nations League appearances.
