Romelu Lukaku reveals Antonio Conte āchanged approachā to the Milan game this morning, while Alex Meret studied Santiago Gimenez penalties and Matteo Politano ābelievesā in a Napoli Scudetto.
The pressure was piling on the Partenopei after Interās 2-1 win over Udinese this evening, and they got off to the ideal start, surging into a 2-0 lead within 19 minutes with Politano and Romelu Lukaku on target.
That was the sixth goal Politano has put past Milan, so evidently they inspire something in the former Inter winger.
āThis is a team that brings me luck. It was important to win, we had a great first half and couldāve had a third goal, then Milan fought back after the restart, they were built to fight for the top of the table, so we knew weād have to suffer,ā Politano told DAZN.
āWe have to take it one game at a time. We believe in ourselves, we have these fantastic fans and must try to make them happy, then weāll see where we are at the end of the season.ā

Napoli studied Milan penalty takers

Meret made a crucial save on the Santiago Gimenez penalty, so when Luka Jovic came sliding in to meet the Theo Hernandez assist in the final minutes, it was too late for Milan to complete the comeback.
āWe study the penalty takers before the games and there was a high probability Gimenez would take it in that direction. It was an important save to keep it on 2-0, but above all important to get the win and keep up with Inter,ā added the goalkeeper.
āWe are up there and cannot give up now. Weāve got to try to win every game, stay up there and if thereās the possibilitĆ , to steal a few points off Inter.ā
The Scudetto is now definitively a two-horse race, as Atalanta were beaten 1-0 by Fiorentina and Napoli are the only side keeping up the pace set by leaders Inter at the top of the table.
It was a much-needed boost considering Napoli had only won one of their previous seven Serie A matches, and hadnāt beaten Milan here since August 2018.
āI am very happy with this performance from the lads. We prepared the game in a certain way, but this morning the coach changed to a different approach. We dominated the first half, suffered after the break, but deserved the victory,ā Lukaku told DAZN.
āIt is a good response, we need to continue like this. Weāve started this journey and we have to fight to the end.ā
